Outcome analysis of Cohen’s cross trigonal ureteric reimplantation in paediatric age group

Introduction: Cohen’s cross trigonal ureteric reimplantation is the gold standard for surgical management of vesicoureteric reflux (VUR) in children with high success rate. The objective this study was to evaluate and assess outcome open procedure VUR.
 Methods: A retrospective review all patients VUR who underwent between March 2010 February 2020 done. following were recorded each patient: age, sex, grade reflux, operative time, complications.
 Results: series consisted 40 (25 girls 15 boys) a mean age 32 months (6 8 years). Bilateral repairs performed 16 (40%) same setting unilateral repair 24 (60%). Twenty-two (55%) had IV VUR, 13 (32.5%) V 05 (12.5%) III VUR. Mean time bilateral 249.4(200-290) minutes 158.3(130-180) respectively. length hospital stay 10.55 (7-15) days. Major complications included two persistent VURs, one case bladder hematoma. Postoperative ultrasound abdomen micturating cystourethrogram few obtained, which 38 (95%) normal study.
 Conclusion: uretric paediatric For better outcome, patient selection refinement technique should be pursued.
